There we had to fix a rip in our spinnaker, complete all the administrative requirements of a Canal transit, and start to provision for our long passage across the Pacific. Time ran a bit short before our friends arrived to help us with our transit, so we also took a short trip over to Panama City and rode the historic Panama Canal Train.
