Barrett and I show you more of the build-out for our F250 4x4 truck. We clean and prep the chassis for paint, freeing up some of the old rust. Then we take a road trip up to central California to pick up an aluminum flatbed tray with a canopy box. Tyler from US Overland Canopies constructed this flatbed and canopy box (with the addition of 2 purchased underbody toolboxes) and ran it on his truck for a while. He was looking to sell it so he could make version 2. What a find, because version 1 was just what we were looking for! See the early stages of this truck build and how the flatbed tray works for us. Part 3 will come a little later, as we build out shelving over the next few months, work on an auxiliary battery system, add side steps and dial in this expedition rig. Flatbed tray with canopy box: Tyler from US Overland Canopies, located in central California. This is a wired version. They also sell wireless kits, but that just wasn't what we wanted. Slim water tank: https://ironman4x4america.com/40l-vertical-water-tank-10-6-gal/ For install: use 2 straps to secure the tank to the frame of our truck, utilizing the tank 'holes'. Insert some packing foam pieces between tank and bed of truck/cab of truck - to keep the tank secure and not rocking/wiggling forward or backward. Attach reinforced tubing with a hose clamp at tank barbed outlet (it comes with the barbed outlet), attach valve and hose clamp at 'open' end of tubing. When in use at camp, we just loosen the fill cap on the tank and the water comes out steadily as gravity fed. -------------- The Sailboat: 1984 Cheoy Lee, 36' Pedrick monohull sailboat, "Spartina" The Overland Truck: 1996 Ford F250, 4X4 Diesel, 7.3 liter Power Stroke, 4" lift, 17" wheels with 33" 12.50s, "The BAT" "JAVELINA" The Bikes: Barrett: 2011 Husqvarna WR300 & 2010 Triumph Scrambler Meme: 2002 Yamaha 125, 2017 Husqvarna FE350 Video: Filmed by Meme and Barrett, edited in Final Cut Pro X by Meme Merch: Coming soon???!!!
