106 - Sailing the Straits of Malacca and Singapore

In this episode Saoirse departs Thailand from Chalong Bay, Phuket. Heading south under sail, we find some water appearing underneath the nav "couch" and try to locate the source. We didn't find it right away....turned out it WAS the air conditioning drip tray overflowing. On our way to Langkawi we stop at Koh Rok islands, where we find a nice hike up a little hill. There's also good snorkeling in the area. We then go through Ko Lipe as we near Langkawi, but we don't go in the water because of a bloom of box jellyfish. During our brief stop in Langkawi we get to see the setup and start of the Royal Langkawi International Regatta weekend. We then head south to Batam, Indonesia, dodging floating trees, huge floating drift nets and cargo ships through the Strait of Malacca and the Singapore Strait, before finally resting at Nongsa Point Marina where we started our trip on Saoirse last year!
