🏎️ Racing 2024 Three Bridge Fiasco ⛵ Jib Halyard Snaps 💥 Mid-Race! #yachtracing #ourladydefiant

This is a race recap of our Three Bridge Fiasco race in 2024. Just a note that it was a boring start to the race, and between that and the need to explain the format of the race (which is very unusual), the start of the video may not serve exactly as a "hook". Unfortunately, I can't make the start more exciting... but if you stick with it, things get more exciting 💥 We finished 3rd in our class, after two J-125s and before another J-125, and we finished 5th out of 300+ boats... unless you apply the 20 minute penalty that the race committee thought we earned by entering the starting box too early. Either way, we had a great time, and can't wait to get out there next year! We also had a jib halyard chafe through mid-race, requiring a quick halyard change to re-hoist the jib. Fun stuff! Can't wait to go up the mast and rerun the halyard!
