I used to be terrified to the point of paralysis when it came to stepping outside my comfort zone to do something new and meaningful. The fear is still there, but one thing this journey has taught me is, once you step in, outside the comfort zone is really not so scary. In fact, most of the time it's freaking awesome! The core of "Family Circus" is Chris (Dad / Captain), Sayo (Mom / Admiral), Aya (First Officer / Deckhand) and Miya (Baby / Stainless Polisher). After many years in business in Vancouver we were tired of life inside the box and wanted to make a change, we just weren't exactly sure what would be next. In July of 2016, when Sayo was six months pregnant, we decided (somewhat at the last minute) to fly to New Caledonia for one last holiday before the baby was born.
