But there can be nasty surprises. No one wants to think about it, but if you or your family are prone to seasickness, it can ruin your boating experience! In John's case, it almost ruined his chances of convincing Jacqueline that they needed a boat! Wir nehmen Euch mit in das virtuelle Klassenzimmer vom Offshore Sicherheitstrainings als Online-Praxis-Kombikurs. 2 Tage haben wir mit 26 Teilnehmern den Theorieteil des Offshore Sicherheitstrainings in unserem eigens dafür eingerichteten Studio verbracht. In dem virtuellen Klassenraum konnten wir sehr anschaulich viele Sicherheits-Themen auf Yachten zeigen. Jetzt wartet auf die Gruppe noch ein spannender Tag im Offshore-Trainings-Center wo die gelernten Themen in der Praxis geübt und vertieft werden. Das Training ist nach den Regularien der World Sailing (ex ISAF) Sea Survival Training durchgeführt und damit auch durch den Deutschen Seglerverband zertifiziert. About the Boat ''SY ROYAL ATENEA'' was built in Holland in 1973. Her original name was ''Antares''.She is a Jongert Trewes Design with 5mm Steel Hull and rigged as a Ketch with Aluminium Masts. Her LOA is 19.3m and she has a beam of 4.6m with a draft of 2.98m She weighs 33t and she can cruise at 7 kts with the engine and 8-10 kts on sail depending on the wind. She is fairly comfortable with 15 to 20 kts of wind. Freshwater capacity to last over 2 weeks and a fuel range of 13 days steaming. About the Boat ''SY Red Current'' is a Southerly 31 with the construction of GRP and rigged as a sloop with Aluminium Mast. Her LOA is 31 feet and she has a beam of 10 feet with a draft of 7 feet. She also has an electric swing keel which makes her draft very shallow and easy to enter in shallow water.
