The crew of Sailing Catamaran Element attend a Camel Wrestling festival in Kumlucca, while living aboard a Catana 471 catamaran, during the Winter off-season in Setur Marina of Finike, Turkey before they set off on their sailing adventures to sail around the world. In this Video Episode: On Boxing day, the international cruising community in Finike, decides to take a group tour of the well preserved Lycian ruins of Arykanda, a 5 tier ancient settlement with stunning panoramic views and the weather cooperates. After a weekend Winter storm passes through, temperatures have dropped and snow is on the surrounding mountains, just in time for the annual Camel Wrestling Festival in Kumlucca. When the weather later warms up, the Swedish crew from s/y Kerpa share a traditional eating and drinking experience with the international sailing community residing in Finike Marina. After a slow start things have picked up speed in the last 12 months, Bottom up Boats is now going from strength to strength with the channel growing regularly across all the social platforms. Sadly there has been very little sailing this summer due to the spreed of COVID-19 virus. Then channel and its viewers is one of the best things to keep me going during this difficult times. we say goodbye to marky (Rose Rambler) and move Move on from Ascar, Cartagena spain to Las Negras, san pedro. Really lovely place we are dug in 7m depth sand a weed bottom 30m chain with 20kg Rocna anchor. Hopefully we hold in these high winds (38-40knts) that are due to come from the south. Plenty of marine life and it's perfect for a swim around plus there is a commune on the beach with up to 80 people living all year round off grid. Apparently it used to be a safe haven for pirates as there are houses and forts built around the place.
