► We had the opportunity to sail aboard the very first Nautitech 41 S, launched in Rochefort last June. Replacing the 40 Open, this new 41-footer remains true to the philosophy that has made Nautitech’s reputation: delivering an engaging sailing experience without compromising onboard comfort. ► While the project was once again entrusted to Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group, the new model introduces a number of significant developments, including the return of the overlapping genoa, a lighter platform, finer hulls, and a new hull shape featuring a concave aft section. The result is a particularly impressive sail area-to-displacement ratio of 12.66 m²/t, allowing the 41 S to perform exceptionally well in light airs while remaining great fun to helm in all conditions. The crew has already recorded a top speed of 15.7 knots in 20 knots of wind. ► Below deck, the layout returns to a more conventional arrangement, with a table in both the cockpit and the saloon. The interior adopts a clean, minimalist style, with just one three-cabin version in the catalog and the use of contemporary materials. ► After an already eventful 2025 with the launch of the FP41, FP44 and Power 80, Fountaine Pajot is maintaining the pace in 2026 with no fewer than three new sailing catamarans set to debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival: the FP48, FP55 and FPY 70. We had the opportunity to sail hull #1 of the FP48 off La Rochelle, a model that has already secured 60 orders. ► Replacing the Tanna 47, the newcomer is designed to be more refined and comfortable. It gains 19" (49 cm) in length and 8" (20 cm) in beam, while light displacement increases by 3.68 t, only partially offset by an increase in upwind sail area from 1,389 sq ft (129 m²) to 1,442 sq ft (134 m²). ► The real design achievement? This significant move toward greater comfort is almost invisible. While the increased freeboard has been integrated very discreetly, the underwater profile has received just as much attention.
