► After an already eventful 2025 with the launch of the FP41, FP44 and Power 80, Fountaine Pajot is maintaining the pace in 2026 with no fewer than three new sailing catamarans set to debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival: the FP48, FP55 and FPY 70. We had the opportunity to sail hull #1 of the FP48 off La Rochelle, a model that has already secured 60 orders. ► Replacing the Tanna 47, the newcomer is designed to be more refined and comfortable. It gains 19" (49 cm) in length and 8" (20 cm) in beam, while light displacement increases by 3.68 t, only partially offset by an increase in upwind sail area from 1,389 sq ft (129 m²) to 1,442 sq ft (134 m²). ► The real design achievement? This significant move toward greater comfort is almost invisible. While the increased freeboard has been integrated very discreetly, the underwater profile has received just as much attention.
