Retired Sailor III is no longer for sale by JMYS. Snowbird 73, Retired Sailor III is a beautiful “like new” custom aluminum alloy semi-displacement trawler that is an outstanding coastal cruiser. Offered for sale by her original owners, Retired Sailor III is the culmination of a lifetime of boating. This experienced cruising couple owned several sailboats and purchased two Grand Banks trawlers before deciding to build one final yacht that would include all of the features and equipment they wanted to enjoy in their ideal boat. It was very important to them they could easily operate and maintain it on their own. After studying the available models marketed by the leading trawler companies they could not find anything suitable. Realizing that their best solution would be to build a custom boat they hired renowned naval architect, Gregory Marshall, to work out the profile and layout that they were looking for. With designs completed and being Canadian citizens, they interviewed several builders before selecting Park Isle Marine in British Columbia for construction.
