Care must be taken crossing the Wide Bay Bar at the southern end of Fraser Island. There are directional lights on both Fraser Island and Inskip Point which guide craft across the bar. Beim Segeln "am Wind" sind erheblich mehr Bewegungen im Schiff und auch der Wind wird viel stärker wahrgenommen. Obwohl hier im Video nur 15 Knoten Wind herrschten. Ebenso spielt die Schiffsgröße eine erhebliche Rolle. Eine kleine Yacht bewegt sich viel mehr als eine große.
