2 days to go. And we have the GREEN LIGHT. 💚 Today was the final inspection, the last details were finished, and then came provisioning. SO. MUCH. FOOD. 😂 Eight months of food had to somehow find a home inside Showgirl, and once again I had friends and family around me helping with whatever needed to be done. These last few days really have been a team effort. But the inspections are done. The food is onboard. The boxes are ticked. Showgirl is ready. I’m ready. The finish to Race 3 of the annual Narrows Regatta on Strangford Lough was a quick reach to the finish after the breeze picked up and pivoted 180 degrees. It was next to impossible for the J109 GTR to match it with the VX1 Sports boats which blasted past on the way back to Portaferry. The chasing VX1 where having a tough time keeping their height as the pressure built so while they were a lot faster they ended up sailing greater distance which kept GTR in the race The J109 GTR could not compete in this race but went on to take the overall series win with a consistent performance across the weekend.
