Spearfishing massive Yellowtail Amberjack in Western Australia. Guess what this one weighed in at? I dove down intending to just get footage of this huge school of massive Samson Fish. But as I got level with the school, I discovered it was only the front part of a larger school. The whole back portion was many more monster Yellowtail Amberjack. I waited for a clean shot, only just missing the brain. But this shot stuck hard and my spear let me use all the leverage I wanted to so I could pull in this massive fish solo without using any floats. . . I went to Wakra Beach today on friday, (the main beach NOT next to the family beach) and there was no police to be seen. People were swimming and kitesurfing would have been no problem. It looks to me like the beach is available for us kiters again!
