Spearfishing massive Yellowtail Amberjack in Western Australia. Guess what this one weighed in at? I dove down intending to just get footage of this huge school of massive Samson Fish. But as I got level with the school, I discovered it was only the front part of a larger school. The whole back portion was many more monster Yellowtail Amberjack. I waited for a clean shot, only just missing the brain. But this shot stuck hard and my spear let me use all the leverage I wanted to so I could pull in this massive fish solo without using any floats. . . Probably my favourite part about boatlife! Sunrises on the ocean Let's not think about boat repairs today : Sailing and living aboard a boat offer a unique experience of being close to nature and embracing a simpler way of life. The sunrise magic on the water is an unparalleled beauty that connects you to the rhythm of the sea. Living on a boat allows you to wake up to the gentle sounds of the waves and witness the sun's first light painting the sky in breathtaking hues, creating a sense of peace and tranquility that is truly magical. It was the first time diving skills didn't come easy to me. Looking back, I should've stopped after the sidemount course and gotten comfortable in the configuration by fun diving before moving on to the technical courses. My hope in sharing this is to help others feel empowered to slow down their training goals. I truly believe it will help you in the long run.
