We are finally here! We have moved onto our sailboat CUBA and we are slowly getting her ready to sail as far as the winds allow us. Just the two of us: Enrique aka Kiki from Cuba and Sarah aka Salsa from Germany and our furry crew. We are setting out adventurizing, shananiganing and learning as we sail through the Mediterranean to – hopefully – cross the Atlantic next year and then circumnavigate the world. With an open mind, a fresh set of eyes and good vibes in tow we are steadily on the move. J109 "CTRL J" beating up the shore to stay out of the tide shortly after the start of the Harbour Race of Cork Week 2024. With over 100 boats on the start line everyone was fighting for air shortly after the start, with the tide coming in all day it paid to get right early to find both clear air and some relief from the stronger tide out in the main channel.
