We are finally here! We have moved onto our sailboat CUBA and we are slowly getting her ready to sail as far as the winds allow us. Just the two of us: Enrique aka Kiki from Cuba and Sarah aka Salsa from Germany and our furry crew. We are setting out adventurizing, shananiganing and learning as we sail through the Mediterranean to – hopefully – cross the Atlantic next year and then circumnavigate the world. With an open mind, a fresh set of eyes and good vibes in tow we are steadily on the move. A look at the updated systems locker on the starboard side of the Vision 444 catamaran. The clean and efficient layout makes any servicing or repair easy to get to. There is another on the port side for the port hull systems. Note, pardon the wood clamps; the door jambs and door are added after launch otherwise the tensioning of the rig would cause the doors to not close perfectly. Want more? This was a trip up Southampton Water to the River Hamble. SotonMet logged it as F6 gusting F7. We were double reefed on the main with about 4/5 rolls in the jib. The wind was strong enough that we struggled to motor mainly because of the short chop. She sailed extremely well though, tacking all the way - 14 miles or so in total.

My solar is mounted, and I just finished hooking it up. 3200W of power which should run all the electrics and the electric motors quite happily 😁
