We are finally here! We have moved onto our sailboat CUBA and we are slowly getting her ready to sail as far as the winds allow us. Just the two of us: Enrique aka Kiki from Cuba and Sarah aka Salsa from Germany and our furry crew. We are setting out adventurizing, shananiganing and learning as we sail through the Mediterranean to – hopefully – cross the Atlantic next year and then circumnavigate the world. With an open mind, a fresh set of eyes and good vibes in tow we are steadily on the move. Follow us for some mild, heavy or moderate sailing – We want to share our story of sailing and cruising around the world with you – through our YouTube Sailing Vlog, Social Media. See what it is really like to live like a nomad, in the elements, out there and always somewhere new. Live – Here – Now Enjoyed the video? Hit subscribe to follow our voyage! What Sailing means to me. Sailing is a source of inspiration and humility, it teaches attentiveness, anticipation, resourcefulness, patience and prioritisation. The choice that we made to take a leap of faith and buy a sailboat has led to countless beautiful experiences and over time, we have grown to understand more about ourselves, each other, our boat & mother nature. We live our days on the ocean under the sky, moon, stars and sun, we witness the change of tides daily until it is clockwork in our brain. There's still a mountain of learning to be done, but today, we celebrate our growth. Chapter by chapter we turn the pages of our own syllabus trying to better ourselves by 1% everyday. "At first I was afraid I was petrified." Overtime, with practice and repetition, with knowledge we have gained through experience, fears are replaced by anticipation and I look forward to the growth ahead of us aboard Ujud as sailors.
