Letโs dance to warm up ๐ Pierre shows his moves on the banks of the Qu'Appelle River in Saskatchewan. The QuโAppelle River crisscrosses southern Saskatchewan. It takes it source at the Qu'Appelle Dam on Lake Diefenbaker and flows into the Assiniboine River in Manitoba. It is very curvy. To give you an idea of conversion, 50 km of river was often only the equivalent of 30 km as the crow flies. Although this river is bordered mainly cattle farms, there is a great diversity of wildlife and birds. In addition, the Qu'Appelle River is part of the Great Trail, the Trans Canada Trail for a total distance of 166.73 km from Lumsden to Katepwa Beach. #ClipperCanoesโ #Hilleberg #ORTLIEB #HappyYakโ #Wildravenadventure #JasminetheBearDogโ #canoelife #canoe #adventure #NoramOdyssey #4yearscanoeadventure #Canada #exploresaskatchewan #explorecanada #canada #happiness
As days go by we decided to simply stop trying to make inform decisions as no weather forecast have been able to effectively predict the wind this week... So here we are crossing heavely trafficked narrow channel with a strong current on the boaw... Virtually no wind on the back and the engine tgat devided to die... But as my friend eddy says . It's what it's.
After 6 weeks in the US we're back in Trinidad! The travel was great but it's good to be home, with an excited welcome from our dog Rose! There's lots to unpack, boat work to start and all before I fly out again to visit Australia for the first time since I moved aboard, 4 years ago. After backpacking Asia, road tripping Europe and doing a bit of van life, weโre now exploring the world aboard our Leopard 45 catamaran.
