The 126m (414') ground-breaking exploration yacht OCTOPUS was delivered by Lurssen in 2003. Imposing at 9,932 GT, her iconic twin-domed mast makes her instantly recognizable. Built to Ice-class 1A with a range of 12,500nm and reaching a max speed of 19 knots, OCTOPUS was designed for extended cruising and exploration in extreme conditions. She is equipped with a helipad forward and a larger landing deck aft with an adjoining helicopter garage for two aircraft. The hull includes an integrated dock that opens from the transom. When closed, the dock provides berths for a 13m custom Hinckley dive tender and a 10-person submersible. When open, the dock is flooded allowing both to float out. The new Swan 120: connecting and stretching boundaries Nautor’s Swan is delighted to introduce the new Swan 120 to the world. The shape of the Swan 120 reflects the elegance and style Frers brings to all his yachts, particularly Swan yachts, where their lines are instantly recognizable and make a statement in every harbour and on every ocean. From the stunning stem, with the typical Germán Frers sheerline, the hull lines sweep gently aft. From around the mid-point, the smooth rocker in the hull rises to a masculine stern with powerful, dynamic quarters above the waterline. The voluminous stern section will gain real attention when the yacht is at rest. The transom folds down hydraulically to form a teak-decked swim platform, the area becomes a large ‘beach-deck’, connected to a well-organized ‘hangar’ for maximum entertainment at anchor.
