Is a 30 mile round trip too far in a dinghy? Not if you're running a Highfield Sport 420! We LOVE this inflatable! It is fast (40 mph), light (can be towed behind a car) and extremely capable. When we hit the first 3-foot boat wake in it at 15 mph, the bow went up and we braced ourselves for a big crash landing, but it never came. Instead the little 420 landed softly, as though we landed on down pillows. I looked at my wife and she at me... both of us smiling and agreeing this was an awesome purchase! Checking expiration dates on key boating safety equipment is critical as you head back out on the water this year. While it's important to check expiration dates because its the law, ultimately doing this quick check is critical for the safety of you and your guests. For example, pyrotechnic flares expire 42 months after date of manufacture and have an expiration date stamped on them. Fire extinguishers now must be replaced at least every 12 years.
