Is a 30 mile round trip too far in a dinghy? Not if you're running a Highfield Sport 420! We LOVE this inflatable! It is fast (40 mph), light (can be towed behind a car) and extremely capable. When we hit the first 3-foot boat wake in it at 15 mph, the bow went up and we braced ourselves for a big crash landing, but it never came. Instead the little 420 landed softly, as though we landed on down pillows. I looked at my wife and she at me... both of us smiling and agreeing this was an awesome purchase! 50ft Fred Shepherd yawl Amokura - Paul Moxon has made it to the Fastnet Rock! Amokura was built in Moody’s Yard up the Hamble River in 1939 but now calls Dartmouth Devon her home. The 50ft Fredrick Shepherd yawl competed in the 1959 Fastnet Race and in the 2019 edition but completed neither. In 2021, Amokura finally crossed the finish line for the race she was built for. At 84 years old Amokura is one of the oldest boats in this year’s race and is fully crewed this year. #rolexfastnetrace #rorcracing #ircrating
