Una limpida giornata d'Agosto con rotta verso le secche della Meloria con vista sull'isola di Gorgona, ma il video non rende bene, la giornata era talmente limpida da intravedere sia la Corsica che l'isola di Capraia. video realizzato in mattinata con assenza di vento (patana), al contrario nel pomeriggio i veleggianti che non avevano mai toccato il timone si sono divertiti a far letteralmente volare la barca sull'acqua grazie ad un vento fino a 16 nodi. 💫 Catherine Chabaud, première femme française à avoir bouclé un tour du monde à la voile en solitaire, sans escale et en course, lors du Vendée Globe 1996-1997. ⛈️ Lors de ce fameux Vendée Globe, alors qu’elle affronte les mers du Sud seule à bord de son monocoque “Whirlpool-Europe 2”, elle traverse une tempête d’une violence inouïe. Les vagues sont si hautes qu’elle ne voit plus l’horizon. Elle raconte qu’à un moment, elle s’est surprise à parler à haute voix à son bateau comme à une personne : 🐋 « Je lui disais : Tiens bon, mon grand. Allez, on y va tous les deux, on sort de là ensemble. » 👍🏽 Ce moment d’intimité entre la navigatrice et son voilier illustre magnifiquement la relation fusionnelle que peuvent entretenir les marins avec leur embarcation, surtout dans les situations extrêmes.
