He it is in the dyke leading to the first boatshed built at Hunter's Yard, in 1932 The skills used at Hunter's Yard are both timeless and endangered, those of building and preserving hand-buit wooden boats of yesteryear. Many of the boats looked after by the yard are nearly a century old, but they still sail as if they were launched last week. 🔍 Did you know? 5 giorni fa siamo partiti da Cadice e oggi, circa 600 miglia più a sud, abbiamo visto nuovamente Terra. Un’emozione incredibile! Strano anche riprendere operazioni di routine come ormeggiare (come si fa?) o salutare le altre barche (altre persone?). Bello. Bello! Il lavoro più fruttifero di questo periodo è impegnarci a vivere il momento e lasciar andare il controllo che quotidianamente tentiamo di esercitare sul tempo. Una settimana di mare senza vedere un’anima è ok. Tornare nella civiltà è ok. Non c’è un “preferirei essere da quell’altra parte”. Un ragionamento semplice che semplifica tante cose. Voi come avete passato questi 5 giorni? Vi piacerebbe partecipare a una “traversata condivisa” durante la navigazione in Atlantico?
