He it is in the dyke leading to the first boatshed built at Hunter's Yard, in 1932 The skills used at Hunter's Yard are both timeless and endangered, those of building and preserving hand-buit wooden boats of yesteryear. Many of the boats looked after by the yard are nearly a century old, but they still sail as if they were launched last week. 🔍 Did you know? The Hunter's Yard fleet comprises 14 classic cabin yachts, and various gaff-rigged 'half-deckers, each with its own story and charm. These vessels are not just for show - they're available for educational use, RYA sail training courses, and public hire! We are finally here! We have moved onto our sailboat CUBA and we are slowly getting her ready to sail as far as the winds allow us. Just the two of us: Enrique aka Kiki from Cuba and Sarah aka Salsa from Germany and our furry crew. We are setting out adventurizing, shananiganing and learning as we sail through the Mediterranean to – hopefully – cross the Atlantic next year and then circumnavigate the world. With an open mind, a fresh set of eyes and good vibes in tow we are steadily on the move.
