With over 100 boats on the start line everyone was fighting for air shortly after the start, with the tide coming in all day it paid to get right early to find both clear air and some relief from the stronger tide out in the main channel. On the way back in the trick was to find the deepest part of the channel to ensure you were in maximum tide to increase your speed over ground. Things were still tight as we made it down to the Harbour Turning mark off Cork City. Au portant, le vol dynamique et non statique des ailles apportent un surcroit de puissance. Le catamaran est également doté de turbines biomimétiques de l’entreprise ADV Propulse. Ces dernières permettront de produire de l’électricité « sous kite » (600 W à 6 nœuds) et de propulser (2 x 15 kW en 48 V) le multicoque lorsque les conditions seront incompatibles avec l’envoi de l’aile. Des panneaux solaires sont également en place sur les trampolines, devant le bras avant. Le catamaran démarre donc sa deuxième carrière et devrait profiter des feux de la rampe – festival Win for Good à Saint-Nazaire, Jeux olympiques de 2024 à Marseille et départ du Vendée Globe aux Sables-d’Olonne.
