Get a sneak peek of North Sails latest #OceanForLife campaign. This Spring-Summer 2019 season starts with an amazing adventure to discover first-hand the reality of plastic invading our oceans. We indeed traveled to Mumbai, India, with an eclectic and international team of adventurers, which would help us understand the problem. The outcome; four chapters, four short interconnected documentaries featuring the reaction of four captivating international characters. Top models Alena Blohm from Germany , Simon Nessman from Canada, Spanish adventurer Gotzon Mantuliz and French actor Michel Biel – with whom we visited the Dharavi neighborhood (famed globally by the movie Slum Dog Millionaire), the Uttan dump, and the Mumbai coast, to understand how plastic reaches the oceans, in a setting with a fascinating culture and people that will make us learn that there is hope, and that, as with all problems, there are solutions. Prepare to take the on-the-water certification in Spring 2024 at https://asa.com/online-class/asa-102/. For the last 40 years, there has been a curious hole in the ASA curriculum, with ASA 101 leading directly into ASA 103. This spring, our schools will start teaching our exciting new course, ASA 102: Keelboat 2. This course is for any sailor interested in building their core sailing skills. This includes becoming more proficient at sail trim and close-quarter maneuvering. It also includes improving your crew skills and working together as a team to make your vessel move more efficiently through the water.
