When the seas make navigation difficult and fatigue causes confusion, we search for beacons of light to help guide our way. We welcome these beacons of light as they bring us comfort and remind us that all will be well. They allow us to reset our course. When we put them abeam, we slow down and make a Moment in Time to remind ourselves of all those that have gone before us and all those that will follow behind. Seagull is flying high in this one. We make a scheduled stop at Mayflower Marina for a quick lift and hold. We used the jet wash free of charge to give her bottom a good scrub, greased the propeller and cleaned the anodes. All was fine so she went straight back in the water. Excellent summer package deal, thanks Mayflower Marina. Our Coppercoat application continues to impress us with it's performance. The only fouling we had was on our keel cooled fridge and bolts on the anode, which have no protection. We would never go back to ablative antifoul.
