When the seas make navigation difficult and fatigue causes confusion, we search for beacons of light to help guide our way. We welcome these beacons of light as they bring us comfort and remind us that all will be well. They allow us to reset our course. When we put them abeam, we slow down and make a Moment in Time to remind ourselves of all those that have gone before us and all those that will follow behind. Marta jumped into the Snipe in 2008 to sail the Snipe Women's Worlds in Spain. She likes sailing Snipes because the boat is so technical -- there are lots of adjustments you can make to the rig to get the boat going its fastest. Sailing the Snipe also requires physical preparation. It's just one part of staying healthy by doing things that are fun.
