When the seas make navigation difficult and fatigue causes confusion, we search for beacons of light to help guide our way. We welcome these beacons of light as they bring us comfort and remind us that all will be well. They allow us to reset our course. When we put them abeam, we slow down and make a Moment in Time to remind ourselves of all those that have gone before us and all those that will follow behind. After an extended AP the Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race fleet tacked their way out of Sydney Harbour in an 8-10 nor’easter. The four supermaxis, Comanche, Wild Oats XI, Black Jack and InfoTrack lead the fleet out of the Heads in the highly anticipated rematch following last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart Race.
