CLUB MARINE TV YouTube Channel https://youtu.be/Wej46SSqlsw For some time now Peter Harburg’s Black Jack – the lightest of the super maxis racing to Hobart - has been touted as the one to watch, particularly if the race turns up some lighter air phases, as it frequently does. In this interview, recorded just after Black Jack’s win in the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge, skipper Mark Bradford explains the thinking behind the foil design for the boat, how it’s used and why it needed to be different from the foils aboard Black Jack’s near twin, Wild Oats XI.
The truth of muck diving! It may appear to be nothing exceptional at first, just a sandy or algae-covered bottom. Nonetheless, these regions offer habitats where tiny marine animals can flourish without worrying about being pursued by bigger predators. While your eyes are very busy trying to see something big, there’s actually life down there that is pretty much unseen if you don’t look closely. During muck dive the time flies by in the blink of an eye, The tip is, to bring your macro camera because sometimes we can identify what we were looking at after we check the photo or video after the dive 😂 This June, come aboard La Galigo Liveaboard for an exciting muck diving at the best dive spot in Siaba Besar, Komodo Island.
