Winter Speaker 2021 David Meek and Melanie Aubert

David Meek and his wife Melanie Aubert decided to go on sabbatical in 2017 to take some time to travel. Avid sailors, they bought a Cabot 36 in St Martin with a plan to sail the Caribbean for a year. While they waited out the 2017 Caribbean hurricane season, they spent 9 weeks exploring Europe, including a week-long sailing charter in the Greek Islands. Since then, they have been on a mission to see as many Caribbean Islands as possible, planning to get down to their boat every winter. Plans are currently on hold due to Covid, but David will share his experience of sailing and exploring the eastern Caribbean with some stunning photo and video. David is a teacher and long-time member of NSC, where he and Mel sail Careless Whisper.
