Staying in one location for a while isn't something that we are great at, although on this occasion we didn't have much choice. To avoid the strong winds and stormy weather across the strait we needed to wait in Picton until we could spot a good enough weather window to head back to Wellington: crossing the Cook Strait and Kaori rip. Our stay in Picton lasted a very fun, but long two weeks. In this space of time we had to take two trips to the sail repair shop, beached our boat and also, ran out of money.
