Tricky Tuesday - Cowes Week - Day 4
The forecast got plenty of crews twitched. With predicted wind speeds into the high twenties, these were conditions to take seriously. But when it came to the start, the fresh breeze was stil dawdling its way along the south west coast of the UK and failed to turn up for the opening stages of Day 4 at Cowes. And when it did arrive it wasn't as punchy as we'd expected, but it still delivered some great conditions. Our featured classes today were the Contessa 32 and the HP30s, two similar sized boats separated by very different performances downwind.
