TONGA (Ep.30) | Sailing the Ha'apai Group | Nomuka Iki Island

We make a quick decision leaving Minerva Reef to sail to Tonga when we get a gap in the weather. While we made landfall and cleared into Nukualofa, we left the same day to sail up to the Ha'apai Group. Our first stop is Nomuka Iki Island where we get to see first-hand the aftermath of the Tsunami from the 2022 eruption of Hunga Tonga. Despite the havoc the tsunami caused, this is a breathtakingly beautiful area of Tonga to sail and explore.
