Join us! -------------------------- Don, from Cincinnati, Ohio, recently moved from Cleveland, where he was an avid sailor on Lake Erie. Now, he sails on Caesar’s Creek, a scenic and clean reservoir. He has owned a Tiwal 3 since August and values its ease of storage and transport. On his first outing, he encountered a large wake from a powerboat and capsized, but he was able to right the boat effortlessly. This reassured him of the boat’s stability and forgiving nature. As a former Hobie and Laser sailor, Don was impressed by the Tiwal 3’s similarity to the Laser in terms of rigging and maneuverability. However, he finds it far more comfortable. He enjoys its quick responsiveness, even in light winds, and looks forward to sailing in stronger conditions. One of the aspects he appreciates most is its portability. The boat fits easily in his car, allowing him to explore multiple lakes in the region. Don recalls a calm day on the water when he simply drifted, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. He values both the excitement of sailing and the moments of quiet relaxation. He hopes to take the boat back to Lake Erie for more adventurous sailing and dreams of exploring the waters of the Florida Gulf Coast and Chesapeake Bay.
