We arrived in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, to begin our Atlantic Ocean crossing preparations. This place is the most iconic meeting point for sailors before the big jump, and being here feels like a milestone. In this episode, we wanted to share the emotional side of sailing, the heartfelt reunions with the sailor friends and those painful farewells that follow. As we start getting Zoé ready for the ocean, it’s becoming clear that saying goodbye is the hardest part, it is the price of the freedom. It’s a busy time for us here in the Canary Islands, as we enjoy our last familiar days in Europe before heading out into the unknown.
