SV Reverie - Not all shaft seals are made equal... How to Select the Best Shaft Seal for your boat

I never really worried too much about shaft seals until I realized I had a PYI dripless shaft seal on Reverie, our 1985 Pearson 34 #sailboat I was cleaning behind the engine and I bumped it and water came in. At first I was concerned, but it sealed right away on its own. So decided to learn more about it. Shaft seals are an important piece of equipment on a #sailboat . It is also a safety element when #sailing . This video shares what I learned.
