Skoota 32 powercat first test motor August 2018

The first Skoota 32 was built at the head of a very narrow Cornish creek. Launched at 8pm on August 13th this video shows the first motor, 8am on the 14th. Note, no audio so please read the description below. First test was manouverability. Even Mike, the boatbuilder who had never helmed a boat before, found it easy to adjust the engines, one forward one reverse, and make the boat turn on the spot. Once into Plymouth Sound we could open the throttles a bit more (but not the full amount as the engines were new). Easy to reach 20 knots even though the trim wasn't quite right. Finally motor back past Southdown Marina to the Multihull Centre for the night. A very successful first trial! You can build your own Skoota 32 in foam sandwich using plans by Woods Designs.
