SI #800 - The inaugural SI "Person of the Year" in our beloved sport of yacht racing
SAILING ILLUSTRATED #800 (Tue 14 Jan 2025) - Who made the biggest positive impact on yacht racing in 2024, i.e., the largest good impression on the most number of people, inside and outside the sport? Over the past three weeks SI viewers made nominations, and our Super FOSI (Friends of Sailing Illustrated) narrowed it to six finalists: Ben Ainslie (GBR), Cole Brauer (USA), Pete Burling (NZL), Russell Coutts (NZL), Grant Dalton (NZL) and Pinar Coskuner Genç (TUR). The final voting by the Super FOSI will take place, live, during Tuesday's Show #800, and the winner announced. SI is hosted by Tom Ehman (USA), with Julia Wedekind (USA), Jon Emmett (GBR), Alistair Murray (AUS) and the FOSI.
