Sailing to a Soviet Ghost Town: Ep 8

In the last episode, we sailed up to 80 degrees of latitude and got to see Polar bears. Now, as we leave the north of Svalbard, we head back into Isfjorden to visit the Russian ghost-mining town of Pyramiden. On the way, we meet a herd of Atlantic Arctic Walrus and encounter two groups of Beluga whales. One of these has well over 100 animals in the pod. Eventually, we make our way back to Longyearbyen to get the boat and ourselves ready to continue sailing on what may be a surprisingly long passage back south.
