[ SUPPORT US ON PATREON ] https://www.patreon.com/sailingseawind [ ONE TIME CONTRIBUTIONS ] https://bit.ly/3e5YE78 Sailing is a lot of things, and for us it's a journey of growth. Katy and I began learning to sail while refitting Seawind over 6 years, but boat building was the first part of this entire experience that we mastered. We really didn't even know if we would enjoy living aboard and traveling the world via a sailing vessel until we finished all of the hard work and set off on our adventure. Throughout the past year we have learned that we do in fact love every part of this lifestyle and we always try and jump at new opportunities to gain experience where we haven't yet. **Insert a trip down the North Pacific Ocean aboard Southern Cross** The past month of work and getting to know this boat led up to this very moment. A first for all of us aboard our trusty Tartan 3500. We are perched in Neah Bay, at the edge of what seems like sailing into outer space, into the unknown. After some last preparations, we take the leap. All of us knowing what we know, and not knowing what we don't. Join us for fifty five minutes of our first ever multiple day offshore passage (We haven't even done this on Seawind!). Four days offshore in the Pacific Ocean. We hope you enjoy this longer form video, and everything we showcase, from our conversation with Chris Parker, our weather router, and the moment we enter the fog and sail into the unknown. The constant change of watch shifts, what seasickness is like, and feeling your body acclimate to the motions of being offshore, to cooking while on the go, sailing with dolphins playing in our bow wake, how we download weather reports, and fog, lots of fog.
