Sailing North: It's All the RAGE, (Calico Skies Sailing, Ep. 62)

This episode marks the beginning of a new chapter, as the Covid Crew begins to disband and go separate ways. We experience some fantastic sailing as we start our long trek north towards the States. Being a particularly windy year we almost always had enough to get Calico speeding along, and usually more than enough. We got familiar with the Code Zero, one of the best investments we've made in years. Of course, the Bahamas is not without it's challenges, as this episode highlights. You can't let the turquoise water fool you into letting your guard down especially not when transiting it's many inlets which allow sailors to pass from the ocean to the bank side and vice versa. We find ourselves in a “rage”or tumultuous seas as water rushes off the bank and back into the ocean with an opposing wind. The result is like taking Calico Skies white water rafting.
