Sailing - Madeira to the Baltic Sea - 11 (ENGLAND - GERMANY PASSAGE)

Port of Dover (England) - Brunsbüttel, Kiel Canal (Germany) 420 Nautical miles Port of Dover, Outer Marina Brunsbüttel Yachthafen Marina We sail into the North Sea from Dover and aim for Cuxhaven in Germany. However we have totally miscalculated our diesel consumption. We seem to be using much more than expected. So we need to alter our route drastically and are forced to make a stop in Holland. Finally reaching the entrance of the Kiel Canal in Germany we find ourselves in a very hectic environment.. --- Sailing a Moody 47 from Madeira to the island of Bornholm in Denmark. Christian is doing the trip alone with help from friends and acquaintances along the way. The family joins on selected legs.
