Hello and welcome back to sailing NV, we're a sailing family with plenty of fantastical dreams, but the main one we're currently pursuing is sailing our Open 66 around the world with our 2 year old son Nemo, puppy Solo and multinational crew. It's been a year since we relaunched our boat after a big refit in Fiji and despite the constant barrage of breakages - from sails, to watermaker, and our most recent being our gearbox, resulting in our now inability to go in gear , we've been rewarded with some spectacular cruising and visiting amazing places, but some of the best was yet to come as we're finally found ourselves at the edge of the Komodo National Park, a destination we'd been especially excited about visiting, a real world jurassic park, home to the world's last living dinosaur, the infamous Komodo dragon, who can kill with its highly venomous bite and toxic saliva.
