Sailing Caribbean Sea: #3 From Caribbean Dream to Lockdown

Firstly, I am enjoying a few more untroubled days with Heinz, Wilm and Klaus on St. Martin until the pandemic suddenly and hardly catches up with us in the Caribbean Sea. The cruise finds a sudden end on St. Barths because of the escalating situation. Then I am sailing on myself to Martinique to meet Anke. During the two-day cruise down there, France issues a lockdown decree and, in the morning, when I arrive in Fort de France the borders are closed. But I meet Anke there after 2 months. With local help we can take provisions and diesel on board. Fortunately, next day I can do customs clearance and immigrations in Le Marin. Anke and I are lying at anchor during the lockdown for weeks in the bay of Sainte-Anne. But we make the best out of it until Anke finally gets a flight back to Germany in mid-April. Now I am starting preparations for my return trip to Germany.
