SAILING 600 MILES FROM NEW YORK, AROUND HATTERAS, TO WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH
Our 600 Mile Sail Plan: We left New York Harbor at 7:30 AM with a narrow weather window to make some good progress south before tropical storm Idalia came in. Our goal was to make Delaware Bay and wait things out. Our reality - we skipped Delaware and kept sailing to shelter in the Chesapeake. Then we continued on around Hatteras and anchored in beautiful Wrightsville Beach. #catamaransailing #SailingaroundHatteras #WrightsvilleBeach #CapeHatteras TIMELINE: 00:00 Introduction 00:15 Leaving New York Harbor - Verrazzano Narrows bridge 00:30 Perfect Sailing Conditions (for a while) 03:56 Night Sailing 05:11 Chesapeake shelter during TS Idalia 05:36 Sailing to Wrightsville Beach 08:52 Sailing around Cape Hatteras 11:41 Wrightsville Beach Anchorage MUSIC: The Water, Hannah Gill & The Hours - https://audiio.com/hannah-gill-hours LINKS: SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjfh_pM48xnJ7dr4jTvt8cw?sub_confirmation=1 WEB SITE ARTICLE: https://bluedotvoyages.com/sailing-new-york-to-wrightsville-beach FACEBOOK: https://facebook.com/bluedotvoyages INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/bluedotvoyages.sailingpilar COMPLETE PLAYLIST: SAILING & CRUISING VIDEOS https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLz8Z8h1MloaPq2o05r6wnJqaqyeABUKiu CATAMARAN MAINTENANCE VIDEOS: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLz8Z8h1MloaOcpGajnaH0DPm1U0otTJtc Blue Dot Voyages is a Sailing Adventure Company.
