There are numerous issues with this rig which Herby will be correcting in the future to make this a true ocean cruiser and that all starts with getting rid of the mast! Herby uses the mast on Wisdom to drop the mast and get it out of the way so that work can progress and the boat can become readied for the new and improved rig. He then explains various methods to lower a mast, and tells you which are better than other methods and how you can choose which method is best for you based on your finances and situation.
