We finally sailed to Vava'u in Tonga! This is a place we have been looking forward to returning to ever since we had an amazing dive holiday here 4 years ago, we knew it was choc full of amazing dive spots, idyllic beaches and best of all for yachties - over 40 anchorages, many people choose to live on their yachts here and we can see why. It was good to see on our dives that the coral is still vibrant and healthy here, the beaches and water clarity are amazing and the air is filled with the sound of birdsong and insects at night - always a good sign of a healthy ecosystem. In this episode we revisit some old favourite spots, find some new ones and basically show you the best of Vava'u - enjoy! We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand. We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures!
