What a nightmare! From scheduling issues to misogyny, this video has it all. We FINALLY get the keel dropped on our Beneteau 49 that we bought at auction so we can finish the fiberglass repairs. This video is also really long because I couldn't figure out how to cut it down and still have it be "real" - Next week's video will actually have some clips of what happened this week as far as cutting and grinding - it was just way too much for one video! Keep in mind we bought her at auction without ever meeting the owner! The owner was sailing along and ran aground - hard. Hard enough that the keel pivoted and pushed the aft end up into the hull. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull. At some point an inspection was done, insurance was called and decisions were made.
