In this video we are happy to share with you our experience of the first ever Odyssey Sailing Festival in the British Virgin Islands (BVI's) from our perspective. And then we also had some other sailors like Joe Rust from the Chasing Bubbles Foundation, Raff & Sascha from Spear It Animal and Lauren Landers join up with us at The Bitter End. During breakfast on departure day, we encountered a 5.7 magnitude earthquake before we set sail to the following destinations: Nanny Cay Norman Island Jost Van Dyke - Foxy's at Great Harbour Jost Van Dyke - Foxy's Taboo Peter Island Marina Cay Virgin Gorda - The Bitter End Virgin Gorda - Spanish Town We had several really cool adventures and experiences along the way as well such as a "fancy dress" comedy night were we had our own sailors share stories and experiences to make for an unforgettable night to be had by all! We also had the opportunity to visit da Bubbles Pool on Marina Cay, the Baths on Virgin Gorda, Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke, the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke, Peg Legs on Tortola, Willy T's on Norman Island and an epic raft up at The Bitter End - Virgin Gorda where we had a belly flop competition among several other experiences! Some of the Skippers and Crew got together for a Hobie Cat race at Sundown at The Bitter End followed by a bonfire on the beach to close out the night. #bvi #bvifestvi #catamaransailing #regatta #oceancruisingboats Cheers! Mike and Tisha ?? Nanny Cay is an island of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. It is made up of three cays originally known as Big Cay, Little Cay and Miss Peggy Cay. In the 1970s these were consolidated into a single land mass for a marina and resort development. It is connected to Tortola by a short bridge. Norman Island also has a documented history of pirate booty being stowed upon the island. In August 1750, a Spanish treasure galleon named Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe sought shelter from a storm on the North Carolina coast. The crew mutinied and the treasure, said to consist of (amongst other things) 55 chests of silver coins, was loaded into two bilanders, one of which was carrying Owen Lloyd. The first vessel was lost, but Lloyd escaped to St. Croix. After disposing of some of the money, he proceeded to Norman Island where the treasure was buried. Foxy's Taboo, a Gem, nestled between the green hills of Diamond Cay. Offering Sumptuous lunches, dinners and cocktails. Taboo lies in the quiet, scenic shores of the Diamond Cay blue water. The perfect place to relax and escape the everyday rush and listen to the calming sounds of the ocean. Da Bubbly Pool - On the far eastern side of Jost Van Dyke in the BVI, is a geological delight called the Bubbly Pool. This natural Jacuzzi is formed as waves roll through a crevasse in the boulders that line the Northeastern coast of Jost. The waves fill a small pool with effervescent sea water. Marina Cay is an island of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. The 8-acre island was uninhabited until 1937, when author Robb White and newly married wife Rosalie "Rodie" Mason settled on the island. For over half a century, Bitter End Yacht Club has been world-renowned for its sense of adventure, love of the water, appreciation for nature, and dedication to friends and family. Spanish Town on southern Virgin Gorda is the second largest town. 00:00 Intro 02:27 Nanny Cay to Norman Island 04:04 Norman Island to Jost Van Dyke 05:47 Regatta to Foxy's Taboo 08:22 da Bubbly Pool & Comedy Night 09:33 The Raft Up - Marina Cay 11:51 Sail to The Bitter End 14:59 Hobie Cat Race 18:19 Epic Regatta to Spanish Town 27:37 Impromptu Party 28:26: The Last Sail 30:10 Outro
