Mexico Mobula & Marine Megafauna Expedition - 2026

Highlights from our first Mexico Mobula & Marine Magafaune Expedition, which we ran in July/July 2026. This time of year, mobula rays congregate around La Ventana in Baja, Mexico, in the thousands. They can be found leaping out of the water like popcorn in a hot pan, and just beneath the surface lie vast fleets of these rays. Nowhere else in the world can you have an experience like this. While the rays are the main attraction, there is a whole host of other marine life encounters to be had as this area is a hotbed for marine megafauna, like pilot whales, orcas, turtles, sea lions, sperm whales, dolphins, and even oceanic mantas. On this particular tour, we were incredibly fortunate in that we had three days of orca encounters, which is really quite rare and was never expected! The beauty of this area is that you never know what you're going to see, but whatever it is, it's going to be amazing!
